Tip #1: Fit eating habits

Healthy eating doesn’t mean all you have to eat are greens and more greens. The foundation of a healthy body is a well-balanced diet. Don’t skip meals. Eat smaller portions at more frequent intervals to rev up your metabolism. The more you starve yourself, the more your body will hoard fats.

Avoid eating the bad carbohydrates such as refined sugars and processed grains. Choose to eat whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits and vegetables.

Limit your sodium intake as it makes your body retain water and appear fluffy. Cut back on processed foods. Read the labels and rule out anything that contains trans fats and high fructose corn syrup.

Tip #2: Drinking for health

Stop the soda habit. Even the diet variants contain empty calories. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to flush out toxins and impurities in your body.

Limit your alcohol intake or skip it altogether. Alcoholic drinks pack on calories which can lead to weight gain. Avoid sugary drinks such as sweetened juices and iced teas instead oad up on unsweetened ice tea, green tea, white tea or black tea.

Tip #3: Exercise

Most people don’t like to exercise. As soon as they hear the word gym, everyone is ready with their lame excuses. You don’t need to hit the gym every day. What’s important is for you to move that body to start losing weight and get in shape.

You are not going to get bulky when you lift weights. Women are just not capable of having such bulging muscles because they lack the amount of testosterone needed for that. What women should do is to include strength training with their exercise plan to build up muscles and help increase metabolism.

Resistance training will strengthen and tone your muscles. Not to be confused with weightlifting, resistance training involves moving against an opposing and immovable force. When doing resistance training, full range of motion is required to prevent muscle overload at the joints. Some studies conducted show that resistance exercises are more beneficial than aerobic exercises for fat loss.

Get out of the diet fad routine. Follow a fitness program that will help you to get in shape the right way.
